COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson finished sixth at the USA Archery Indoor National Championship, USA Archery officials announced.
The Blue Raiders competed at Indoor Nationals from Jan. 31-Feb to 1 in Owensboro, Kentucky. Scores from indoor national competitions all across the country were compiled for the final results.
The Blue Raiders tallied 47.33 points to finish sixth. Texas A&M captured the national championship with 142.50 points while Cumberlands (Ky.) finished runner-up with 126.83 points.
Four Blue Raiders earned top 10 finishes individually.
Gus Burtts finished tied for second in men's fixed pins. Burtts carded a 1,193 (298-299-297-299) with 113 10s. His 113 10s were tied for the second-most.
Keegan Benton finished third in men's barebow with a 1,017 (249-259-248-261) with 26 10s.
Emma Kist posted a fifth-place finish in women's fixed pins. Kist carded a 1,178 (293-295-294-296) with 99 10s.
Bo Pipes earned a ninth-place finish in men's compound with a 1,176 (292-293-297-294) with 96 10s.
In the team rounds, Lindsey Wilson posted six top-10 finishes. Kist and
Lilly Bowling finished fourth in women's fixed pins with a score of 2,330. Burtts and Timmerman finished fifth in men's fixed pins with a 2,363, while Pipes and Crawford finished sixth in men's compound with a score of 2,315. Benton and
Dylan Langley finished seventh in men's barebow with a score of 1,841, and Wilson and
Anastacia Godman in women's barebow with a score of 1,751.
Mikayla Cassady and
Madeline McGuire posted a ninth-place finish in women's compound with a score of 2,274.
Burtts and Kist finished third in mixed fixed pins with a score of 2,371, Benton and
Morgan Wilson finished third in mixed barebow with a 1,894, and Pipes and Cassady finished sixth in mixed compound with a score of 2,324.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on April 9 for the first day of the USA Archery Outdoor Regionals in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
