COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson student-athlete
Lev Sholosh has been selected as the Mid-South Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Sholosh, of Lviv, Ukriane, earns his first-career weekly honor after going 2-0 in both singles and doubles in a pair of victories over Bethel (Tenn.) and Georgetown. Against Bethel, he defeated Andrej Jovanovic 6-2, 6-3 in the top-seeded singles match. In doubles, Sholosh teamed up with
Facundo Grasso winning 6-4 at No. 1.
He then defeated Georgetown's Leo Schirmer 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Sholosh and Grasso earned their second win of the weekend with a 6-3 victory over Schirmer and Alex Stragier in the top-seeded doubles match.
Sholosh and the Blue Raiders return to action on Saturday, traveling to Campbellsville (Ky.) at 10 a.m. CT.
