COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team leads the Lindsey Wilson Spring Invitational after the first two rounds on Friday at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson.
The Blue Raiders carded a 23-over par 599 (309-290) and lead by 21 shots over Midway (Ky.) heading into Saturday's final round. Lindsey Wilson's 599 in the third-lowest two-round score in program history. The Blue Raiders lead the tournament in par 5 scoring (-8) and in birdies with 28.
Tara Laverty sits in second with a 3-over 147 (77-70) and sits just one shot behind first. Laverty is tied for the tournament lead in birdies with eight and is third in par-5 scoring at -3.
Holly Murphy sits two shots behind Laverty with a 149 (76-73). Murphy is tied for the tournament lead in par-5 scoring at -4 and is third with seven birdies.
Henaaz Khera (80-71) – competing as an individual – and
Kayla Saunders (79-72) are tied for fifth with a 151. Saunders is tied with Laverty for the most birdies in the tournament.
Amanda Sitohang is eighth with a 155 (77-78).
Thanaporn Buakong is tied for ninth with a 156 (81-75). Buakong recorded the only eagle in the first two rounds on the fifth hole in round two.
Kendall Hacker – competing as an individual – is 24th.
The third and final round of the Lindsey Wilson Spring Invitational gets underway on Saturday morning at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson.
