Tennis Welcomes Cumberland in MSC Matchup on Saturday

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's tennis teams host Cumberland (Tenn.) on Saturday in a Mid-South Conference matchup at 2 p.m. CT at The Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
 
The No.5-ranked Blue Raider men are 8-2 this season and 3-0 in the MSC and have won their last six matches. Lindsey Wilson was last in action on Monday, defeating No. 15 Marian (Ind.) 6-1. During the win streak, the Blue Raiders are outscoring their opponents 39-3.
 
Cumberland is 24th in the latest NAIA Poll. The Phoenix enter Saturday's matchup with a 5-8 record and are currently 2-2 in conference play. Cumberland is coming off a 6-1 victory over Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) on Thursday. The Phoenix victory over the Lions snapped a five-match losing streak.
 
Lindsey Wilson is 23-10 all-time against Cumberland. The Blue Raiders have won four of the last five matchups against the Phoenix, including a pair of victories last season. Lindsey Wilson won the regular season meeting 4-3 and defeated Cumberland 4-1 in the MSC Tournament finals. The Blue Raiders are 7-1 all-time against the Phoenix in Columbia.
 
The No. 2-ranked Blue Raider women enter Monday's matchup with a 9-1 record and a 3-0 mark in conference play. Lindsey Wilson has won its last six matches, including a 6-1 victory over No. 10 Marian. The Blue Raiders are outscoring their opponents 40-2 over the winning streak.
 
Cumberland's women are No. 19 in the latest NAIA Poll. The Phoenix improved to 8-6 and 3-1 in the MSC after defeating Freed-Hardeman 7-0.
 
 
Lindsey Wilson leads the all-time series 25-4, having won the last 25 matchups. The Blue Raiders won last season's matchup 5-2 at Cumberland. Lindsey Wilson is 7-0 all-time against the Phoenix in Columbia.
