Blue Raiders Set to Host Blue Raider Rumble on Senior Day

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's track and field teams return home on Saturday to host the Blue Raider Rumble at Parnell Family Stadium, with a full day of competition scheduled.

Lindsey Wilson enters the weekend with strong momentum after a solid showing at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Blue Raiders recorded multiple top finishes, school records, and national qualifying marks to open the outdoor campaign.

On the men's side, Cambell Rawlings highlighted the sprint group after qualifying for the 100-meter finals and placing seventh overall. In the field events, Jordan McIntyre posted a runner-up finish in the high jump, while Jayden Wentz continued his strong season in the triple jump with a mark of 15.12 meters to meet the NAIA "A" standard. The men's 4x100-meter relay team also turned in a top-eight finish, showing depth on the track.

The women's team saw several standout performances, led by Selena Johnson, who set a new school record in the triple jump with a mark of 12.22 meters while hitting the NAIA "A" standard. Rosemond Owusu added a NAIA "B" standard in the high jump, and Sancia Smith opened her outdoor season with a second-place finish in the 400 meters. The women's 4x200-meter relay team also made history earlier in the meet by setting a new program record.

With multiple athletes already hitting national standards and several others building strong early-season form, Lindsey Wilson will look to continue that momentum in front of a home crowd.

Field events will begin at 11 a.m. CT with the javelin (men), shot put (women), and pole vault (men). Afternoon field events include the long jump, hammer throw, high jump, and triple jump.

Running events are set to start at 11:30 a.m. CT with the women's 1500 meters, followed by a full slate that includes sprints, hurdles, middle-distance races, and relays throughout the day. The meet will conclude with the 4x400-meter relays.

Saturday's Blue Raider Rumble will also serve as Senior Day, with Senior Recognition scheduled for 12 p.m. CT at Parnell Family Stadium.
