Blue Raiders Dominate Blue Raider Rumble, Win Team Title on Senior Day

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's track and field team turned in a strong all-around performance to win the team title at the Blue Raider Rumble on Saturday, finishing first out of five teams on Senior Day with 318 points.

The Blue Raiders were consistent across every event group, using a mix of event wins, podium finishes, and depth scoring to separate themselves throughout the day.
On the track, Lindsey Wilson was led by multiple event victories. Tyler Colvin paced the distance group with a first-place finish in the 1500m at 4:04.49, while Ashton Johnson added another win in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:35.45.

In the sprints, Nijae McBride led a sweep of the top three spots in the 100m, winning in 10.72, followed by DeAnglo Patterson in second and Luke Birdsong in third. The Blue Raiders continued that momentum in the 200m, where Jakoby Graves took first in 22.13, with McBride and Kairell Avery finishing second and third.

Avery also delivered a strong day in the hurdles, placing second in the 110m hurdles and winning the 400m hurdles in 56.18. Enric Fernandez followed with a second-place finish in the 400m hurdles, while Luis Groff and Zack McCaslin added scoring performances.

In the 400m dash, D'Antonio Warren finished second in 50.42, leading a group that included Miah Chatmond, Graves, and Demarcus Robertson, who all placed in the top five.

Lindsey Wilson also found success in the relays. The "B" team of Demarcus Robertson, Jakoby Graves, Kairell Avery, and Enric Fernandez won the 4x100m relay in 42.12, while the "A" team followed closely in second. In the 4x400m relay, the "A" team placed second and the "B" team added a third-place finish.

In the distance events, Kevin Cuin led the way with a win in the 5000m at 17:01.95, followed by Isaac Wells in second. Landon Franich added points with a fifth-place finish in the 800m.

The Blue Raiders were just as strong in the field events. Elijah Bullock won the javelin with a throw of 40.35m, while Jamison Graves finished second. Bullock also added a third-place finish in the shot put.

Janer Caicedo Campaz highlighted the jumps with a win in the high jump, clearing 2.03m.

He also added a runner-up finish in the long jump and a third-place finish in the triple jump.

Lindsey Wilson added depth in the jumps with Lorenzo Luces, Summy Manirakiza, Dyse Harding, and Jordan McIntyre all recording top-five finishes.

In the hammer throw, Leeshawn Johnson placed third with a mark of 42.48m to round out the scoring.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Saturday, April 4 at the Centre College Invitational in Danville.
