Tennis Welcomes Cumberlands in Pivotal MSC Matchup on Monday

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's tennis teams host Cumberlands (Ky.) on Monday in a pivotal Mid-South Conference matchup at 2 p.m. CT at The Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
 
The No. 5-ranked Blue Raider men are 9-2 this season and 4-0 in the MSC and have won their last seven matches. Lindsey Wilson was last in action on Saturday, defeating No. 24 Cumberland (Tenn.) 7-0. During the win streak, the Blue Raiders are outscoring their opponents 46-3.
 
Cumberlands is sixth in the latest NAIA Poll. The Patriots enter Monday's matchup with an 11-6 record and are currently 3-0 in conference play. Cumberlands is coming off a 6-1 victory over Campbellsville (Ky.) on March 25.
 
Lindsey Wilson is 41-9 all-time against Cumberlands. The two teams met back on February 15 in the fifth-place match at the ITA NAIA Indoor National Championship. Cumberlands defeated the Blue Raiders 4-2. The Patriots have won four of the last five matchups over the Blue Raiders. Lindsey Wilson is 13-1 all-time against Cumberlands in Columbia.
 
The No. 2-ranked Blue Raider women enter Monday's matchup with a 10-1 record and a 4-0 mark in conference play. Lindsey Wilson has won its last seven matches, including a 6-1 victory over No. 19 Cumberland. The Blue Raiders are outscoring their opponents 46-3 over the winning streak.
 
Cumberlands' women are No. 6 in the latest NAIA Poll. The Patriots improved to 10-3 and 3-0 in the MSC after defeating Campbellsville 7-0.  Cumberlands has won six of its last seven matches coming into Monday.
 
 
Lindsey Wilson leads the all-time series 42-7, having won the last five matchups. The Blue Raiders went 2-0 against the Patriots, defeating them in Williamsburg and in the MSC Tournament Finals.
