LONDON, Ky. – The No. 16-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's golf team posted a runner-up finish at the Patriot Invitational on Tuesday at Crooked Creek Golf Course.
 
The Blue Raiders carded a 53-over-par 929 (303-311-315) to finish 20 shots behind No. 11 Cumberlands (Ky.). Lindsey Wilson carded the most birdies in the tournament with 32 and finished second in the tournament in pars with 151.
 
Thanaporn Buakong posted the best Blue Raider finish in third with a 10-over 229 (73-78-78). Buakong finished tied for fourth in the tournament in par-5 scoring at +1 and finished fourth in pars with 34. Kayla Saunders finished tied for sixth with a 234 (78-76-80). Saunders finished +1 in par-5 scoring and tallied 29 pars.
 
Holly Murphy finished in eighth with a 235 (80-79-76) tying for the second-most birdies in the tournament with eight. Tara Laverty carded a 239 to finish tied for 11th. Laverty finished with three birdies and 30 pars. Kendall Hacker – competing as an individual – rounds out the Blue Raiders in 31st.
 
The Blue Raiders return to action on April 13 for the first day of the Music City Classic at Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tennessee.
