Blue Raiders Close Indoor Season at NAIA National Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up competition Saturday at the 61st Annual NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, Florida.

The Blue Raider men finished 19th overall with 12 points, while the women placed 18th with 17 points.

Jayden Wentz earned All-American honors in the men's triple jump with an eighth-place finish. The sophomore recorded a mark of 14.79 meters to score one point for the Blue Raiders.

Maxwell Wordui also earned All-American honors in the 60-meter dash finals, finishing seventh with a time of 6.74 seconds to add two points for Lindsey Wilson.

D'Antonio Warren recorded a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash finals with a time of 21.36 seconds, earning All-American honors and scoring five points for the Blue Raiders.

On the women's side, Promise Amasiatu led the way with two All-American performances. The freshman finished fifth in the 60-meter dash finals with a time of 7.54 seconds to score four points. She later placed fourth in the 200-meter dash finals with a time of 24.26 seconds, setting a new Lindsey Wilson school record and adding five more points.

Hannah Reid also earned All-American honors in the 400-meter dash finals. Reid finished fourth with a time of 54.83 seconds to score five points for the Blue Raiders.

Rosemond Owusu added another All-American performance in the high jump. The sophomore cleared 1.69 meters to place sixth, matching the Lindsey Wilson school record and scoring three points.

The meet marked the conclusion of the indoor season for Lindsey Wilson as the Blue Raiders now turn their attention to the outdoor season.
