KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's track and field teams opened competition at the Tennessee Relays on Friday at Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium.
The Blue Raiders recorded multiple top-10 finishes and NAIA standard marks on the first day of the two-day meet.
On the men's side,
D'Antonio Warren led the way on the track with a 10th-place finish in the 200 meters, clocking 21.12 to meet a NAIA 'B' standard.
In the field events,
Jayden Wentz posted the top finish for Lindsey Wilson, placing seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 14.63 meters to meet a NAIA 'B' standard.
Lorenzo Luces followed with a ninth-place finish at 14.50 meters.
On the women's side,
Selena Johnson turned in the top performance of the day for the Blue Raiders, placing ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 12.03 meters to meet a NAIA 'A' standard.
Hannah Reid added a 10th-place finish in the 200 meters with a time of 23.92 to meet a NAIA 'B' standard.
In the throws,
Reagan Cheatham recorded a 10th-place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 47.78 meters.
Lindsey Wilson will return to action on Saturday to conclude competition at the Tennessee Relays.
