Lindsey Wilson Delivers Strong Showing at Clark Wood Invitational

Louisville, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's track and field teams competed at the UL Clark Wood Invitational, held April 23–25 at Owsley B. Frazier Cardinal Park.

On the men's side, Kairell Avery led the way on the track with an eighth-place finish in the 110 meter hurdles, clocking a time of 14.48. The Blue Raiders also saw a strong showing in the 4x100 meter relay, where the team of Nijae McBride, D'Antonio Warren, Demarcus Robertson, and Maxwell Wordui placed second with a time of 40.80 to meet a NAIA "B" standard.

On the women's side, Chenessa Davis delivered a standout performance in the 100 meter hurdles, placing seventh with a time of 13.81 to meet a NAIA "A" standard while setting a new school record.

Hannah Reid also had a big day on the track, winning the 400 meters with a time of 53.64 to meet a NAIA "A" standard and set another school record.

The women's 4x100 meter relay team of Reid, Jermani Morris, Elaina Holliday, and Davis placed seventh with a time of 46.35 to meet a NAIA "A" standard.

In the field events, Rosemond Owusu added a ninth-place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.68 meters to meet a NAIA "B" standard.

Lindsey Wilson will return to action May 3–4 at the Mid-South Conference Outdoor Championships, hosted at Parnell Family Stadium in Columbia, Kentucky.
