BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The No. 15-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's golf team sits atop the leaderboard following the first two rounds of the Mid-South Conference Championship on Monday at Bowling Green Country Club.
The Blue Raiders carded a 48-over-par 624 (310-314) on the par-72, 5,869-yard course. Lindsey Wilson holds a two-shot lead over Cumberlands (Ky.) heading into Tuesday's final round. The Blue Raiders were the only team to record an eagle in the first two rounds. Lindsey Wilson recorded the second-most birdies with 17 and carded the third-most pars with 85.
Kayla Saunders sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 5-over-par 149 (74-75). Saunders recorded an eagle on the sixth hole in the first round. She carded five birdies over the two rounds, which is tied for the second-most in the tournament. Saunders leads the tournament in par-3 scoring at -1.
Holly Murphy is tied for fifth with a 156 (77-79). Murphy is just one of three players under par on par-5s at -1. Over her two rounds, she carded five birdies and 17 pars.
Tara Laverty is tied for eighth with a 159 (77-82). Laverty has recorded the third-most pars in the tournament with 20.
Thanaporn Buakong is tied for 16th with a 163 (82-81) recording four birdies.
Amanda Sitohang rounds out the Blue Raider scoring, tied for 24th with a 167 (88-79).
The third and final round of the MSC Championship gets underway on Tuesday morning at Bowling Green Country Club.
