COLUMBIA, Ky. - The 2026 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships takes place May 20-22 at Karl Straus Track in Asheville, North Carolina.
Lindsey Wilson will be well represented by a mixture of returning national champions, All-Americans, conference titlists, and first-time national participants.
The Blue Raider men, ranked No. 17 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) ratings index, send a strong showing of jumpers, including defending NAIA National Champions
Maxwell Wordui (long jump) and
Lorenzo Luces (triple jump). The duo won their respective events at the Mid-South Conference Championships earlier this month.
Freshman
Janer Caicedo Campaz, the conference's champion in the high jump, ranks fifth in the nation ahead of his first national championship appearance. He is joined in the high jump by teammate
Dyse Harding (18th).
Rounding out the men's competitors in the jumping events is sophomore
Jayden Wentz, who actively ranks 10th in the triple jump.
On the track,
Cambell Rawlings returns to the national championships for a second consecutive season to run the 100-meter dash. After placing 26th in 2025, the junior is seeded 12th with a time of 10.31 seconds. Wordui is slotted ninth by a difference of 0.03 seconds ahead of Rawlings.
D'Antonio Warren checks in ranked 10th in the 200-meter dash. He and teammates
Nijae McBride,
Demarcus Robertson, and Wordui make up the Blue Raiders' 4x100-meter relay, which qualified in 17th.
Lastly,
Kai Avery, the Mid-South champion in the 400-meter hurdles, garners his first ticket to nationals with top-20 marks in the 110 and 400-meter hurdle events.
On the women's side, the Blue Raiders go into nationals with their highest USTFCCCA rating in program history at No. 6.
Mid-South Conference women's Athlete of the Year
Hannah Reid competes with the nation's third-best time in the 400-meter run. The sophomore ran the same event in 2025, finishing 12th. This year, she will also run the 100-meter dash and provide the leg for Lindsey Wilson's 4x100 and 4x400-meter relays.
The rest of the 4x100 includes
Jermani Morris,
Elaina Holliday, and
Chenessa Davis, while the 4x400 consists of Ta'Shya Cramer,
Sancia Smith, and Holliday.
Elsewhere on the track, Davis is seeded third for the 100-meter hurdles after punching in a conference-winning time of 13.70 seconds on May 4 and
Promise Amasiatu ranks 11th in the 100-meter dash.
In the jumping events,
Rosemond Owusu looks for her second career All-American finish in the high jump following a fifth-place effort in 2025. She currently ranks third in the high jump and ninth in the long jump with Mid-South Conference gold medals in both.
Selena Johnson caps Lindsey Wilson's qualifiers as she brings the nation's second-best distance in the triple jump.
