ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Lindsey Wilson track and field team earned seven All-American finishes on the final day of the NAIA Outdoor National Championships on Friday at Karl Straus Track.
The Blue Raider women totaled 23 points over the three-day event to finish 10th. British Columbia took home the team title with 101.5 points. On the men's side, Lindsey Wilson finished with 12 points to place 21st. Cumberlands won the national championship with 79 points.
Hannah Reid earned a pair of All-American honors on Friday. Reid entered the women's 400 with the fastest qualifying time. She finished in seventh with a time of 55.65. Reid becomes just the second Blue Raider to earn All-American honors in the 400. She also competed in the 100 finals, finishing in eighth with a time of 14.54. Reid is the second Blue Raider to earn All-American honors in the 100.
Cambell Rawlings and
Maxwell Wordui each earned All-American status in the men's 100. The duo becomes the second and third Blue Raiders in program history to earn All-American honors in the event. Rawlings finished fifth with a time of 10.48, while Wordui placed eighth in 10.62.
Chenessa Davis finished fifth in the women's 100-meter hurdles earning All-American status. Davis becomes the first Blue Raider in program history to earn All-American honors in the event.
Rosemond Owusu took home All-American honors in the women's high jump. Owusu earns All-American honors in the event for the second time in her career. She finished fourth with a distance of 1.70 meters.
Jayden Wentz took home All-American honors in the men's triple jump. Wentz becomes the eighth Blue Raider to earn All-American in the event. He finished in eighth with a distance of 14.79 meters, which he recorded in his fifth jump.
