Lindsey Wilson Earns NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Gold Award

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Wednesday that the Lindsey Wilson University athletics department has earned the NAIA's Champions of Character Five-Star Gold Award for the 2025-26 academic year.

A grand total of 203 member institutions were named Champions of Character Five-Star Award winners Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year.

Lindsey Wilson garnered a perfect score for the 2025-26 school year.

In addition to Lindsey Wilson's achievement, the Mid-South Conference was also credited with Five-Star Award honors. Conferences considered for the award must have an established Champions of Character conference committee, a conduct in competition oversight committee composed of a minimum of three members, and at least 60 percent of members institutions must receive the NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Institution Award.

Bethel (Tenn.), Cumberland (Tenn.), Cumberlands (Ky.), Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.), and Georgetown (Ky.) each met Gold Level standards, while Campbellsville (Ky.) received a silver award.
