COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson Women's Golf team opens the season ranked 13th in the NAIA Coaches Preseason Poll, the national office announced Friday. 

LWU is one of three Mid-South Conference members ranked in the top 25. University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) is ranked 7th, while Cumberland (Tenn.) is ranked 14th. 

The Blue Raiders finished in 19th at the NAIA National Championships back in May. LWU brings back Kayla Saunders, who finished tied for 23rd at nationals, after shooting 17+ over par (75-80-78). Also returning is Tara Laverty, who carded back-to-back rounds in the 80s at nationals. 

The Blue Raiders' first tournament this fall is at their home course, The Pines at Lindsey Wilson, on Monday, September 14 and Tuesday, September 15.
