Men’s Cross Country Finishes First at Eagle Opener Exhibition

WILMORE, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's cross country team secured a victory at the Eagle Opener Exhibition hosted by Asbury (Ky.) on Friday to open the season.

The Blue Raiders topped the four-team field with 25 points in the 5K race. Host Asbury finished in second with 46 points. Lindsey Wilson finished with a total time of 1:28:55 and an average time of 17:47.

Individually, Lindsey Wilson held three of the top five spots. Mason Magyar posted the best Blue Raider finish coming in second with a time of 17:24.3. Jag Willers finished right behind with a time of 17:29.8. Lluc Casal rounded out the top-five finishers coming in fifth with a time of placed fifth with a time of 17:48.1. Bryce Clayton (18:03.8) and Ashton Johnson (18:09.2) finished in seventh and eighth, respectively.

Calvin Brooks Jr. (18:50.7) finished in 13th, Caleb Crask (18:53.3) placed 14th, Zack McCaslin (19:04.4) finished 15th, Jan Krohn (19:16.4) came in 16th, and Xavier Smith (20:08.1 finished in 25th.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action for the Twilight Invitational hosted by Indiana Wesleyan on Friday, Sept. 4 in Marion, Indiana.
