COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team sits in third following the first two rounds of the Blue Raider Fall Invitational Monday at the Pines at Lindsey Wilson.
The Blue Raiders shot a 6-under-par 554 (273-281) on the par-70, 6,443-yard course. Lindsey Wilson sits three shots behind Campbellsville (Ky.) heading into Tuesday's final round. Rio Grande (Ohio) is in second with a 553. After two rounds, the Blue Raiders are second in eagles with three, tied for the second most birdies with 36, and are -13 on par-4s, which is tied for fourth.
Arvid Olsson (66-71) and
Philip Kittoff Jr. (69-68) are tied for fourth with a 3-under 137. Olsson carded six birdies in the first two rounds and recorded an eagle on hole 12 in round one. Kittoff Jr. is tied for the second-most birdies in the tournament with nine.
James Gibb sits tied for 12th with a 140 (69-71). Gibb tallied eight birdies in the first two rounds and recorded an eagle on hole 12 in round two. He is tied for second in par-5 scoring at -5.
Robbie Welsh is tied for 26th with a 144 (69-75) and carded an eagle on hole 17 in round two.
Toby White sits tied for 29th with a 145 (74-71). Through two rounds, White is -5 on par 5s.
The Lindsey Wilson B team carded a 558 (275-283) and is fourth. The Blue Raider B team carded the fourth-most birdies in the first two rounds with 35.
Magnus Maahr sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 134 (67-67). Maahr leads the tournament in par-4 scoring. (-4), and in birdies with 10. He carded six of his 10 birdies in round one and recorded an eagle on hole 12 in round two.
Valtteri Katevuo carded a 140 (67-73) with six birdies in the two rounds and is tied for 12th.
Charlie Jones sits tied for 17th with a 141 (71-70) and had eight birdies on the day.
Scott Newman is tied for 29th with a 145 (72-73), and
Khalin Walden carded a 146 (70-76) and is tied for 32nd.
Three Blue Raiders are competing as individuals.
Mattias Mehto carded a 153,
James Talbott recorded a 154, and
Riley Shepherd finished with a 161.
The third and final round of the Blue Raider Fall Invitational gets underway on Tuesday morning at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson.
