The 2024-25 season will be Mark Elam's sixth as the head coach of the Lindsey Wilson archery program.

Elam assisted the program near the conclusion of its inaugural 2018-19 season before taking over in his current full-time position.

Since becoming the head coach, Elam has led the Blue Raiders to 10 different runner-up finishes at conference championship events, as well as second-place efforts at the 2020 and 2022 USA Archery 3-D National Championships.

During the 2023 spring schedule, Lindsey Wilson secured its best-ever finish at the USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals, placing third.

Elam has coached eight different individual national champions and 10 national champion teams, 20 USA Archery All-Americans, 18 Mid-South All-Conference selections, a two-time Mid-South Archer of the Year, and a USA Archery Men’s Compound Archer of the Year.

Elam, along with his wife, Ronda, founded Tuckasee Archery, an S3DA team. The team has grown from the initial six students in the first year to currently over 70 participants with more than 50 competition members. Tuckasee Archery has produced Tennessee State team champions a national championship. Three individuals have earned national podium finishes over the last two years.

In addition to Tuckasee Archery, Elam is the owner and operator of AAA Outdoors in Tompkinsville, Ky., an archery shop that services archery equipment. He also has served as a director of the National Archery Shooters Association (ASA) organization’s youth program for the last four years, and has coached and organized teams in the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) and began Scholastic 3D Archery (S3DA) teams in 2016.
