Sam Ambrose enters his sixth season as an assistant coach with the Lindsey Wilson football program in 2025.
Ambrose serves as the Blue Raiders’ defensive line coach.
Prior to joining the staff at Lindsey Wilson, Ambrose served as the defensive backs coach at Robert Morris University-IL during the 2018 & 2019 seasons. He helped coach an All-Conference selection during both years he was with the program.
Before entering the coaching ranks, Ambrose was a member of the Wartburg College football program from 2014-17. During his playing tenure, the Knights claimed the Iowa Conference Championship and earned a birth in the NCAA Division III quarterfinals during the 2014 & 2017 seasons.
Ambrose graduated from Wartburg in 2019 with a degree in Physics & Secondary Education. He earned a master's degree in Management in Sports Administration from Robert Morris-IL in 2020.
