Lindsey Wilson University

John Meece enters his sixth season as the head coach of the Lindsey Wilson men’s and women’s bowling programs in 2026-27.

A Kentucky native, Meece led the men’s program to its best finish in program history during the 2023-24 season, guiding the Blue Raiders to a runner-up finish at the Mid-South Conference Tournament. Along the way, Lindsey Wilson twice upset the conference’s No. 1 seed, Pikeville (Ky.).

During the 2022-23 season, Meece coached the men’s program’s first All-Mid-South Conference honoree in four years. He also helped guide the Blue Raiders to the Intercollegiate Team Championship Sectional Tournament for the first time since 2019.

In 2025-26, Meece coached the men’s program’s first Mid-South Conference Freshman of the Year.

Lindsey Wilson is Meece’s first head coaching position. He previously competed for the Blue Raiders as a student-athlete for two seasons before returning to the program as a volunteer assistant.

In addition to his experience at Lindsey Wilson, Meece has volunteered at Bellarmine University and Russell County High School. He holds a Bronze Level Coaching Certification from the United States Bowling Congress.
