Lindsey Wilson University

Nick Wilson enters his sixth season as Director of Track & Field and Cross Country at Lindsey Wilson College in 2022-23.

Along with overseeing the track & field programs, Wilson is also the head coach of the Blue Raider cross country teams.

It is Wilson's sixth season in total at Lindsey Wilson after serving as cross country head coach and assistant track & field coach during his first four seasons.

Wilson joined Lindsey Wilson in 2016-17 after spending the previous season as an assistant cross country and track & field coach at Valley City State University. While with Valley City State, Wilson coached three, first-time cross country national qualifiers along with 30 all-conference track & field selections, including five national qualifiers and one national champion.

Before his time at Valley City State, Wilson spent three seasons as an assistant cross country and track & field coach at the University of Rio Grande (Ohio).

While at Rio Grande, Wilson helped coach the RedStorm men’s and women’s outdoor track & field programs to the 2015 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) Championships. During the 2014 season, he helped guide the men’s cross country team to the KIAC Championship and an appearance at the NAIA National Championships. He coached five individual cross country national qualifiers while with the RedStorm.

Before joining the coaching ranks, Wilson had a successful four-year stint as a student-athlete at Rio Grande where he was a four-time cross country national qualifier and two-time track & field national qualifier. He finished as the runner-up twice at the Mid-South Conference Cross Country Championships and holds track school records in the 3,000 meters and 4x800 relay.

Wilson graduated from Rio Grande in 2013 and later completed his master’s degree in 2015.
