John Meece enters his fifth season as head coach of the men's and women's bowling programs in 2025-26.

The Kentucky native led the men’s program to its best finish of all-time, a runner-up effort, in the Mid-South Conference tournament during the 2023-24 campaign. Along the way, the Blue Raiders twice upset the league’s No. 1 seed Pikeville (Ky.).

In the 2022-23 season, Meece coached the men's program's first All-Mid-South Conference honoree in four years. He also helped guide the men's team to the Intercollegiate Team Championship Sectional Tournament for the first time since 2019.

While the Lindsey Wilson position is Meece’s first head coaching job, he competed for Lindsey Wilson bowling as a student-athlete for two seasons and later served as a volunteer assistant.

In addition to his coaching experience at Lindsey Wilson, Meece also volunteered at Bellarmine University and Russell County High School. He holds a Bronze Level Coaching Certification from the United States Bowling Congress.
