Eric Bernabeu enters his third season as head coach of the Lindsey Wilson men’s and women’s tennis programs in 2025-26.
Under his first two seasons of leadership, the Blue Raider women have captured back-to-back Mid-South Conference tournament championships and have made consecutive appearances in the NAIA National Tournament semifinals.
The Blue Raider men won their 18th Mid-South regular season and tournament title in 2025, helping Bernabeu to earn his first Head Coach of the Year honor.
In 2024, Bernabeu was tabbed Intercollegiate Tennis Association Women’s Coach of the Year after guiding Lindsey Wilson to its 11th national semifinal and first since 2018, and its fifth 20-win season.
Bernabeu is a 2019 graduate of the University of Pikeville (Ky.) where he obtained a bachelor's degree in business administration and sports management. He also spent four years as a member of the Bears' men's tennis team, earning second-team and academic all-conference honors in 2017.
After earning his undergraduate degree, Bernabeu attended Campbellsville University (Ky.) and garnered his MBA while playing towards an NAIA Scholar-Athlete accolade in 2020. He went on to serve as a graduate assistant coach for the Tigers, helping to guide the women's team to an NCCAA National Championship in 2022.
Following his time at Campbellsville, Bernabeu was selected to lead the men's and women's tennis programs at Southwestern College in Kansas. This past season, Bernabeu led the Moundbuilder women to a Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference regular-season title, and the men to the program's first-ever NAIA National Championship appearance.
