Lindsey Wilson University

Gema Mendoza is entering her first season as a graduate assistant for the Lindsey Wilson tennis program in 2021-22.

Prior to Lindsey Wilson, the Manta, Ecuador native competed on the women's tennis team for four years at Bluefield College in Bluefield, Virginia. Mendoza had a very successful career for the Rams as she was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Female Tennis Player of the Year in 2017. Additional awards that she earned were Appalachian Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, All-Freshman Team, and All-Conference Team.

Outside of her playing career, Mendoza has worked as a tennis coach/counselor at the Twins City Tennis Camp in Minneapolis, Minnesota from 2017-2020.

Mendoza graduated from Bluefield College with a Bachelor of Science as she double majored in business and sport management.
