Barbosa joined the coaching staff in July following a decorated playing career at Lindsey Wilson College, where she competed for the Blue Raiders from 2015-17. A national champion and All American, Barbosa earned NAIA honorable mention All-American honors as a sophomore, along with two AVCA all-region honors and two first team All-Mid-South Conference selections. She helped Lindsey Wilson capture three conference championships, three conference tournament titles and the 2017 NAIA national championship.
A standout middle blocker, Barbosa appeared in 83 matches during her career, recording 466 kills, 228 blocks and 76 digs while posting a .351 attack percentage. She ranks fourth in Lindsey Wilson program history in attack percentage and sixth in blocks per set (0.93).
Barbosa graduated magna cum laude from Lindsey Wilson in 2018 with a degree in human services and counseling. She later earned a master’s degree in health and human performance from Fort Hays State University in 2023.
Barbosa resides in Columbia, KY, with her husband, Jefferson and their daughter, Dulce Maria.
