After a brief stint elsewhere, he returned to Lindsey Wilson in the summer of 2022 to take over as the department's assistant director. In March 2023, Snyder was elevated to his current position as the Blue Raiders' Associate Director of Sports Information.

Snyder has earned 10 top-10 finishes in the NAIA-SIDA Publication & Media Contests, including top honors in the “Sport Posters” category in 2024, and the "Game Notes" category in 2025. He was named the Mid-South Conference Assistant Sports Information Director of the Year for the 2023-24 season.

A 2020 Clarion University (Pa.) graduate, Snyder holds a bachelor's degree in digital media and a minor in sports media.

His primary responsibilities with the Blue Raiders include assisting with the communication efforts of the Athletic Department. Before being hired at Lindsey Wilson University, Snyder spent the 2021-22 school year as the Assistant Director of Sports Information at Adrian College (Mich.) where he held many of the same responsibilities as he does now.

Prior to that, Joel worked as an intern staff writer with the Titusville Herald in Titusville, Pa. While with the Herald, he covered local sports ranging from summer leagues to high school athletics, as well as community events.

In college, Snyder spent four years working with the university's Sports Information Department as a play-by-play commentator and public address announcer for select sports, collecting statistics during games, creating game notes, and aiding all efforts of the sports information staff.
