LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson cross country had three individual runners compete at the NAIA National Championships on Saturday, November 19, at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
Blue Raider freshman
Sammy Maiyo finished 79th out of 261 runners in the 10,000-meter race. Maiyo finished with a time of 25:58.
Also competing on the men's side was freshman
Koji Hashiyama who finished at 26:56, good for a 173rd place finish.
Virginia Intermont College won the team championship with 52 points. VIC posted all five runners in the top 13 of the meet.
Soimo Kiplagat of Lindenwood (Mo.) University won the individual championship finishing with a time of 23:49.
Competing for the Lindsey Wilson women was sophomore Kamila Bocian who finished 104th out of 259 runners. Bocian finished the 5,000-meter course at 19:22.
Julia Howard of Simon Frazier (B.C.) won the individual championship with a time of 17:24. Howard led Simon Frazier to the team championship with 74 points, with four runners in the top-15.
