GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College dropped a men's and women's doubleheader to Georgetown College on Thursday night.
The Lindsey Wilson women fell to the No 9-ranked Lady Tigers 82-66 in the opener, while the No. 2-ranked Lindsey Wilson men dropped a 74-63 decision to No. 7-ranked Georgetown men in the nightcap.
In the women's game, Georgetown senior Neely Thomas became the program's all-time leading scorer to lead the Lady Tigers to the 82-66 win.
Thomas scored a game-high 24 points as the Lady Tigers never trailed.
Lindsey Wilson senior Suzanna Ashby made three of the team's 11 three-pointers to score a team-high 11 points. The Blue Raiders (20-9, 3-6 in the Mid-South Conference) shot 55 percent from three-point range as a team.
Freshman reserve Kara Osterfeld tied Ashby with team-high honors with 11 points.
The Lady Tigers shot 51.9 percent (27 of 52) from the field and made 25 of 26 free throws en route to the season sweep. Georgetown defeated Lindsey Wilson 61-60 in Columbia earlier this month.
With the win, Georgetown (23-5, 8-1) wins the Mid-South Conference regular season crown and will be the top-seed in next week's conference tournament in Frankfort.
Lindsey Wilson will not know its fate in the tournament until after Saturday's game with Cumberland College in Columbia.
In the men's game, Lindsey Wilson shot just 39.6 percent (21 of 53) from the field en route to a 74-63 loss.
With the win, Georgetown (25-4, 7-2) moves into a first place tie with Lindsey Wilson (26-3, 7-2) heading into the final regular season game on Saturday. Lindsey Wilson hosts Cumberland, while Georgetown travels to Lambuth University.
The Tigers scored the final 10 points of the first half to grab a 38-32 halftime lead. Georgetown never trailed in the second half.
Georgetown dominated play on the inside as the Tigers shot 54.3 percent (25 of 46) from the field. The Tigers also won the battle of the boards, out-rebounding Lindsey Wilson 26-19.

John Spivey led the Blue Raiders with a game-high 18 points. Junior reserve
Stephen Russell added 13 points.
Georgetown senior Josh Grant scored a team-high 15 points. Senior Orlandus Hill added 12 in the win.
