LEBANON, Tenn. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball team escaped with a 63-58 win over host Cumberland (Tenn.) University on Monday night at the Dallas Floyd Rec. Center.

The Blue Raiders improve to 17-5 on the season with the win, while Cumberland falls to 3-16 on the season with the loss.

Lindsey Wilson scored the first 10 points of the game and led by as many as 18 points in the opening half, but Cumberland cut the Blue Raider lead to 38-32 at the break.

Lindsey Wilson extended its lead to as many as 14 points in the second half, but again had to withstand a Cumberland (3-16) charge.

Lindsey Wilson sophomore Lloyd Lewis -- who scored a career-high 31 points in the game -- hit a four free throws in the final 30 seconds to secure the Lindsey Wilson win. Lewis also grabbed 12 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the season.

Lindsey Wilson senior Scott Cook added 14 points in the win.

Cumberland junior Joseph Northington scored a game-high 13 points to lead the Bulldogs.
