LONDON, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team finished fifth at the Southeastern Kentucky Intercollegiate on Friday at Crooked Creek Golf Club.
The No. 16-ranked Blue Raiders shot 618 (312-306) over the 6,654 yard, par 72, Crooked Creek course. No. 17-ranked Lindenwood (Mo.) University won the two-day tournament with a team total of 610 (307-303).
Lee (Tenn.) University (310-304) and the host, University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) (302-312) finished tied for second in the 17-team tournament with a 614.
Lindsey Wilson senior
Tyler Sharpe grabbed medalist honors with a two-day total of 146 (72-74). The individual tournament win is Sharpe's sixth of his career and first of the 2005-06 season.
Lindsey Wilson junior
Kyle Andreas finished tied for 24th with a total of 155 (81-74) while junior Zach Wilson finished tied for 36th with a 158 (80-78).
Freshman
Carlos Navarro's 159 (79-80) and senior Federico Lizaralde's 167 (83-84) rounded out the Blue Raider finishes.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on April 6, as the Blue Raiders travel to the Transylvania (Ky.) University Invitational at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington.
