LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team battled the elements and a difficult University Club of Kentucky to grab second place in the Transylvania University Invitational on Thursday.
The No. 16-ranked Blue Raiders shot 308 over the par-72, 7,013-yard University Club course. Host Transylvania won the one-day event with a team-total of 305.
Lindsey Wilson junior Zach Wilson grabbed medalist honors with an even-par round of 72. For Wilson, a Russell Springs, Kentucky, native, the tournament win is his first of the season and fifth of his career.

Carlos Navarro finished tied for third with a three-over par 75. Navarro earned all-tournament for his finish.

Federico Lizarralde (80) finished tied for 10th, senior
Tyler Sharpe (81) tied for 13th and junior
Kyle Andreas (82) finished 18th to round out the Blue Raider finishers.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action today as they travel to the Georgetown (Ky.) College Invitational played at Cherry Blossom Golf and Country Club.
