GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team capped off an improbable second-half turn-around this afternoon by winning the program's first Mid-South Conference regular-season title.

The Blue Raiders defeated Georgetown (Ky.) College 73-59 to win the MSC regular-season title. LWC finishes 9-1 in the MSC and 15-15 overall. Since starting the season at 3-13, the Blue Raiders have gone 12-2.
Georgetown finishes the season 18-11 overall and in fourth place in the MSC with a 4-6 conference record.

The Lindsey Wilson men closed their regular season with an 82-53 loss at No. 3 Georgetown. The men finish 18-11 overall and in fourth place in the MSC with a 3-7 conference record.

Georgetown finished the season 26-3 overall and 10-0 in the MSC.

The men play No. 5 seed Pikeville (Ky.) College at 8 p.m. EST on Friday in the first round of the 2007 MSC Tournament. The winner plays No. 1 seed Georgetown at 8 p.m. EST on Saturday.

The No. 1-seeded LWC women will face the winner of the game between No. 4-seeded Campbellsville (Ky.) University and No. 5-seeded Georgetown. The LWC women's game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. EST on Satruday.

Both tournaments will be played at the Frankfort (Ky.) Civic Center.
