LONDON, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team fell just short of comeback win today at the Southeastern Kentucky Intercollegiate played at Crooked Creek Golf Club.
The Blue Raiders shot a team-total one-under par 287 today over the 6,933-yard, par 72 Crooked Creek layout.Lindsey Wilson -- who entered the round eight strokes behind No. 8-ranked Lee (Tenn.) University -- fell two strokes short of a comeback win.
The Blue Raiders finished with a 585 (298-287) to finish runner-up to Lee's 583 (290-293).
Lindsey Wilson sophomore
Abraham Gali finished tied for third in the 107-man field. Gali shot a two-round total of one-under par 143 (72-71).
Senior
Zach Wilson tied for ninth with a 146 (72-74) and senior
Kyle Andreas (77-72) and sophomore
Carlos Navarro (79-70) tied for 14th with a 149.
Freshman
Travis Radford (77-84) rounds out the team with a tie for 69th with a 161.
Lindsey Wilson sophomore
Zach Charbonneau tied for 48th with a 156 (84-72) and freshman
Drew Hayes tied for 78th with a 165 (78-87) playing as individuals.
Lee's Brandon Cissom (71-71) and Nicholas Parker (72-70) tied for first with a two-day total of two-under par 142.
No. 23-ranked Marian (Ind.) College finished third with a two-round total of 591 (300-291) and Southern Wesleyan (S.C.) University ended in fourth with a total of 606 (304-302).
Lindenwood (Mo.) University (304-303) and Ohio Dominican University (306-301) tied for fifth with a 607.
Campbellsville (Ky.) University finished seventh with a 608 (304-304) and host University of the Cumberlands ended in ninth with a 612 (308-304). Georgetown (Ky.) College's 663 (17th), West Virginia Tech's 714 (19th) and Pikeville (Ky.) College's 731 (20th) rounds out the Mid-South Conference teams in the 20-team tournament.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Monday and Tuesday, April 2-3, as the Blue Raiders travel to the Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament at the Stonecrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg, Ky.
