PLYMOUTH, Ind. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team finished 15th at the 56th NAIA Men's Golf National Championship played at Indiana National Golf Course.
The Blue Raiders posted a 312 today during a rain-soaked final round to finish with a team total of 1,223 (299-304-308-312).
Oklahoma City University completes its repeat bid with a four-round total of 1,154 (281-290-304-279). Wayland Baptist (Texas) University finished second with a 1,172 (292-293-298-289).
The 15th place finish is the best finish for a Lindsey Wilson men's golf team in the program's history. The Blue Raiders finished 16th in 2003.
Lindsey Wilson freshman
Travis Radford ended the tournament with a team-best tie for 28th.
The Burkesville, Ky., native, fired an 11-over par 299 (73-72-78-76) over the 6,950-yard, par 72 course. His 76 today led the Blue Raiders.
Lindsey Wilson sophomore
Carlos Navarro finished tied for 58th with a four-day total of 307 (73-77-80-77). Navarro climbed 13 spots with today's round of 77.
Sophomore
Abraham Gali finished tied for 61st, one stroke behind Navarro. Gali ended his sophomore season with 308 (76-75-76-81).
Senior
Zach Wilson jumped 21 places into a tie for 80th with a final round 78. Wilson, who ended his career today, finished with a 313 (81-80-74-78). Senior
Kyle Andreas, also playing in his final collegiate round, finished 95th with a 323 (77-80-80-86).
Oklahoma City's Daniel Mitchell won the individual national championship with a four-day total of six-under par 282 (68-72-75-67). Mitchell erased a four-stroke deficit in the final round to beat third round leader Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) University's Sam Cyr (285) by three shots.
