GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team won their first tournament of the year today at the Bluegrass Fall Invitational hosted by Georgetown (Ky.) College.
The Blue Raiders shot a team-total of seven-under par 569 (286-283) over the 6,852-yard, par 72, Cherry Blossom Golf Club to beat second-place Campbellsville (Ky.) University's 587 (291-296) by 18 strokes.
Cumberland (Tenn.) University finished third with a team-total of 603 (300-303), while host Georgetown ended in fourth with a two-day total of 612 (304-308).
Lindsey Wilson junior Carlos Navarro finished second with a two-day total of four-under par, 140 (70-70).
Campbellsville's Scott Webb was the tournament's medalist with a total of 137 (70-67).
Lindsey Wilson junior Abraham Gali ended in third following a 142 (71-71) and freshman Ross Crowe finished in fourth with a 142 (73-69).
Sophomore Travis Radford shot 145 (72-73) and freshman Joe Hood contributed a 150 (77-73) to round out the Blue Raider team.
Three Lindsey Wilson individuals competed in the tournament.
Freshman Ross McKen shot a 153 (78-75) while sophomore Zach Charbonneau (80-80) and freshman Chris Lewis (80-82) fired 160 and 162 respectively.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on September 26-27 as the Blue Raiders travel to the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament hosted by West Virginia Tech at Pipestem Golf Club in Pipestem, W. Va.
