BEREA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's cross country team scored 56 points and finished second on Saturday at the Mid-South Conference Championships.
Three Blue Raiders earned all-conference after finishing in the race's top-10.
Junior Monicah Maiyo ran the 5,000 meters in 20 minutes and 34 seconds to finish fifth while senior Cassie Niersel ended the race sixth with a time of 20:59. Junior Amanda Johnson crossed the finish line in 10th place with a time of 21:48.
Campbellsville's Miranda Meeks won the event with a time of 18:47.
Lindsey Wilson freshman Alicia Mattingly ended with a 16th place finish with a time of 22:14 and sophomore Megan Furnish (22:54) and sophomore Candace Young (24:11) finished 19th and 25th respectively in the 34-woman race.
Following the race, Lindsey Wilson coach Edwin Hagans was named MSC Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year as voted on by his peers.
Georgetown (Ky.) College finished the team event in third with 63 points and University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) finished fourth with 68 points. Pikeville (Ky.) College rounds out the five teams with 109 points.
