DANVILLE, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team captured their first tournament of the season on Thursday at the Jim English Invitational hosted by Centre (Ky.) College at the Danville Country Club.
The Blue Raiders shot a one-under par team-total 287 for the win.
Bellarmine (Ky.) University finished second with a score of 291. Centre rounded out the top three shooting a 295.
Lindsey Wilson junior Travis Radford won his first career individual tournament title with a three-under par 69 (33-36) over the 6,405-yard, par 72 course.
In addition to his first career title, the Burkesville, Ky., native, set a career low with the 69. Radford's previous best was a 71 last season.
Senior Abraham Gali recorded his second straight strong outing, finishing just behind Radford with a two-under par 70 (33-37).
Freshman Nicolas Navarro finished tied for eighth with a one-over par 73 (38-35). Senior Carlos Navarro tied for 27th with a 75 (40-35) and sophomore Joe Hood finished tied for 41st with a 78 (39-39).
Freshman Levi Gordon finished tied for eight with a 73 (38-35). Gordon played as an individual.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Monday, Sept. 15, as the Blue Raiders host the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament at Dale Hollow State Park Golf Course in Burkesville, Ky.
