WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's and women's basketball teams dropped a doubleheader today at the University of the Cumberlands.

The No. 11-ranked University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) women beat the No. 25-ranked Blue Raiders 79-64 in the opener and No. 9-ranekd Cumberlands men beat No. 16-ranked Lindsey Wilson 69-59 in the nightcap.

In the women's game, Lindsey Wilson junior Sierra Rambert led the Blue Raiders with 22 points in the loss. Sophomore center Viktoria Krell added 21 points.

Cumberlands senior Madison Flowers led five Patriots in double figures with 20 points.

In the men's game, Lindsey Wilson senior Sam Walton tied a career-high with 20 points in the loss. Cumberlands senior Luke Fitzgerald countered with a game-high 25 to lead the Patriots to their fourth straight win over the Blue Raiders.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Thursday, Jan. 29, as the Blue Raiders host West Virginia Tech University in a men's and women's doubleheader at Biggers Sports Center. Tip-off for the women's game is 6 p.m. CT.
