BURKESVILLE, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team shot a 607 (303-304) to conclude its fall season with a fourth-place finish in the Lindsey Wilson Fall Invitational at the Dale Hollow State Park Golf Course on Wednesday.
University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) won the team title, shooting a 597 (300-297), while Marian (Ind.) University (307-294) and Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University (300-301) tied for second, carding a 601.
The Blue Raiders were led by senior Travis Radford in a tie for sixth place. Radford improved by seven strokes in the second round to finish with a score of 149 (78-71). Junior Joe Hood tied for 13th place after shooting a 152 (74-78).
Sophomore Nicolas Navarro joined Hood in 13th place with scores of 75 and 77. Senior Zach Charbonneau, playing as an individual, finished tied for 17th place carding a 153 (76-77). Freshman Antonio Arriola (76-78) and sophomore Dustin Shearer (75-79) tied to round out the top 20 with a score of 154.
Another Blue Raider playing as an individual, sophomore Derek Murphy, finished 23rd on the leader board with a 155 (76-79).
Freshman Daron Morris rounded out the Lindsey Wilson finishers in the lineup, shooting a 160 (81-79) to tie for 33rd place along with sophomore Levi Gordon (78-82). Sophomore Chris Lewis and newcomer Hayes Moore finished in 41st and 42nd place, respectively with scores of 164 (78-86) and 165 (81-84).
Freshman
Ryne Burnett, Gordon, Murphy and Radford each tallied an eagle during the invitational, while Radford led the field in par-four scoring at one-over par. As a team, the Blue Raiders posted the lowest par-three score at 10-over.
