WILMINGTON, Ohio -- Freshman Kevin Rono led the way for the Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country team at Friday's Wilmington College Fall Classic. The newcomer finished 92nd in the field of 265 with a time of 28 minutes and 21.07 seconds.
Overall, the Blue Raiders earned 570 points to finish 18th in the field of 26 schools.
University of Rio Grande (Ohio) won the team title with 89 points, while Otterbein (Ohio) College finished second with 105 points and Centre (Ky.) College (115 points) rounded out the top three.
Also scoring points for Lindsey Wilson were freshman Jordan Green in 117th place with a time of 28:56.09 and sophomore John Anderson in 139th place after crossing the line in 29:34.32.
Blue Raider junior Tony Perugini clocked in at 31:06.11 to take 193rd place, while freshman Charles Martin was next to finish in 32:41.47 for 224th place.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 10 a.m. CT on Oct. 24 at the Southeastern Classic in Louisville, Ky.
