LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- With freshman Sharon Ronoh and sophomore Alicia Mattingly finishing back-to-back just outside the top 50, the Lindsey Wilson College women's cross country team finished 14th out of 22 teams at Saturday's Southeastern Classic at E.P Tom Sawyer State Park.
The Blue Raiders tallied 331 points with six times in the top 100.
Concordia (Calif.) University took the team title with 66 points, while Embry-Riddle (Fla.) University finished second with 88 points. Shorter (Ga.) College rounded out the top three with 110 points.
Ronoh led the Blue Raiders in 52nd place with a time of 20 minutes and 54.23 seconds, while Mattingly was the next runner across the line in 53rd place with a time of 20:57.03.
Another Blue Raider duo finished closely together as freshman Tessa Kasch (21:28.13) finished in 76th place and junior Nicole Furnish took 80th place with a time of 21:36.50.
Seniors Monicah Maiyo (21:49.10) and Amanda Johnson (21:56.32) placed in the top 100 in 92nd and 97th place, respectively.
Junior Candace Young rounded out the Blue Raider finishes in the field of 181 in 151st place with a time of 24:30.04.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 11:30 a.m. CT on Nov. 7 at the Mid-South Conference Championships in Louisville, Ky.
