LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Freshman Kevin Rono paced the Lindsey Wilson College men's cross country team at Saturday's Southeastern Classic. Rono finished 89th in the field of 216 with a time of 27 minutes and 51.46 seconds at E.P Tom Sawyer State Park.
The Blue Raiders earned 642 points to finish in 22nd place as a team.
Bryan (Tenn.) College claimed the team title with 72 points, while Shorter (Ga.) College finished second with 77 points.
Lindsey Wilson sophomore John Anderson was the next Blue Raider across the line in 178th place with a time of 31:09.53, while freshmen Robert Vergara (32:19.15) and Charles Martin (32:22.95) crossed in 196th and 197th place, respectively.
Blue Raider sophomore Evan Crowdus rounded out the team's individual finishes in 202nd place with a time of32:48.31.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 11:30 a.m. CT on Nov. 7 at the Mid-South Conference Championships in Louisville, Ky.
