HENDERSON, Tenn. -- Despite a 15 point, five-rebound performance from senior Eric McPherson, the Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball team lost to 18th ranked Freed-Hardeman University, 68-61, on Tuesday at the FHU Sports Center.

A barrage of three-point shots from the Lions wasn't the problem, as they finished 2-of-17 from behind the arc, but senior center Zack Frey provided plenty of issues for the Blue Raiders.

The 6-8 senior was nearly unstoppable inside, muscling his way to a season-high 31 points on 13-of-17 shooting, including a perfect 7-for-7 display from the field in the second half.

After trailing by as many as 19 points in the second half, Lindsey Wilson slowly cut the lead to seven near the six-minute mark (59-52). That margin, however, was as close as the Blue Raiders would get.

Lindsey Wilson struggled to mount a comeback with a large disadvantage on the boards.

Freed-Hardeman outrebounded the Blue Raiders 39-22, including a 12-5 advantage on the offensive glass.

The Lions improve to 5-0 on the season, while Lindsey Wilson drops to 3-2.

Freshman Kalen Kimberland joined McPherson in double figures, scoring 13 points for the Blue Raiders.
