Box Score GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Georgetown (Ky.) College men's basketball team proved why they are the No. 3 team in the NAIA today routing Lindsey Wilson 79-46 at Alumni Gymnasium.
The No. 15-ranked Blue Raiders struggled all afternoon on the offense end, making just 32.7 percent (18-of-55) from the field and committing 26 turnovers en route to the worst loss of the season.
While Lindsey Wilson (21-6, 6-4 in the Mid-South Conference) struggled on offense the host Tigers (25-3, 9-2) flourished. Georgetown made 54.2 percent (26-of-48) from the field, including six for nine from beyond the three-point arc.
Lindsey Wilson junior Joshua Cherry led the Blue Raiders with 12 points and junior Eric McPherson added 11 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.
Georgetown freshman Vic Moses led the Tigers with 19 points and senior David Graham chipped in 16 points.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 7 p.m. CT on Thursday, Feb. 26, as the Blue Raiders travel to West Virginia Tech in Montgomery, W.Va.
