MONTGOMERY, W. Va. -- Eric McPherson notched a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball team to a 66-61 win on Thursday at the Baisi Athletic Center.

The win was the first ever for the Blue Raiders at West Virginia Tech as they improve to 12-9 overall and 3-2 in Mid-South Conference play. West Virginia Tech falls to 12-8 overall and 2-3 in MSC action.

Jeremiah Diebler came off the bench to score 16 points and grab eight rebounds for Lindsey Wilson, while Kalen Kimberland also finished in double figures adding 10 points.

The Golden Bears were led by Robby Marshall with 20 points and Rickey Young adding 10.

The Blue Raiders and Golden Bears were tied 55-55 with just under two minutes to play, before Lindsey Wilson went on a 7-0 run to go ahead 62-55.

Rickey Young knocked down a pair of contested threes for West Virginia Tech in the final seconds, but the Blue Raiders knocked down their free throws to keep the lead.

Lindsey Wilson finished the game shooting just 34.5 percent from the field, but 41.2 percent from three-point range (7-for-17). West Virginia Tech shot 39.6 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from the 3-point line.

The Blue Raiders also won the rebounding battle 41-29, while the Golden Bears dished out more assists (17-9), committed less turnovers (12-13) and blocked more shots (6-3).

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, Jan. 30 at Georgetown (Ky.) College.
