WILMINGTON, Ohio -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's cross country team finished 21st at the Wilmington College Invitational on Friday.
The Blue Raiders finished with 580 total team points in the 31-team event. University of Findlay (Ohio) captured the team title with 1 103 team score.
Lindsey Wilson's Sharon Ronoh finished a team-best eighth with a time of 18 minutes and 57 seconds over the 5,000 meter course. Three hundred and nineteen women competed in the event.
Franklin (Ind.) College's Heather Waterman captured the individual title with a time of 18:14.
Lindsey Wilson's Maria Sanchez finished with the Blue Raiders' second best time. Sanchez completed the course in 21:23 to finish 117th overall. Reini Brickson crossed the line in 180th with a time of 22:29 while Amanda Bland ended with a time of 22:58, good enough for 207th.
Chelsea Conway -- who completes the Blue Raider harriers -- finished 256th in a time of 24:54.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 23, as the Blue Raiders travel to the Southeastern Classic in Rome, Ga.
