Ronoh Finishes in 19:40 at the NAIA Cross County National Championships

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Out of 331 harriers, Lindsey Wilson College's Sharon Ronoh finished 146th with a time of 19 minutes and 40 seconds in the NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championship at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site on Saturday.

The sophomore was making her first appearance at the national championships where she beat out 185 other student-athletes.

California State-San Marcos and Shorter (Ga.) University's Justyna Mudy defended their national titles by winning the team and individual championships.

All five of California State-San Marcos' runners placed among the top 50 to total 88 points for its second team title in as many years.

Shorter senior Justyna Mudy defended her individual crown by completing the 5K course in 17:42. She finished four seconds ahead of runner-up Karlee Coffey, a sophomore from Eastern Oregon (17:46). The top-five finishers were within 11 seconds of each other.
