CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's cross country team opened the 2010 season today with an eighth place finish at the Queens City Invitational at the Voice of America Park.
Sharon Ronoh led the Blue Raiders with a 26th place finish after finishing the course with a time of 19 minutes and 26 seconds. Lindsey Wilson freshmen Raegan Deaton (20:37) and Madison Mills (20:42) finished their first collegiate race in the field's top-50. Deaton crossed the line in 48th while Mills ended in 49th in the 138-woman field.
The Blue Raiders completed the 14-team event with 230 team points. NCAA's University of Cincinnati (Ohio) captured the team title with 34 points after four Bearcat harriers finished inside the top-10.
Cincinnati's Michele McKenney won the event title with a time of 18:04.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action Saturday, Sept. 18, as the Blue Raiders travel to Berea (Ky.) College Invitational in Berea, Ky.
