BEREA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College sophomore Jairus Kipkemoi turned up the heat on Saturday en route to a dominating individual win for the men's cross country team on Saturday at the Berea Invitational hosted by Berea (Ky.) College.

As a team, the Blue Raiders finished fourth with two harries in the top-25 overall.

Behind Kipkemoi's time of 25 minutes and 59 seconds was his classmate Jordan Green in 24th place with a time of 29:39.

Berea took first place overall with 54 points, while Georgetown (Ky.) College took second with 55 points and Campbellsville rounded out the top three with 77 team points. Lindsey Wilson tallied 130 points to finish fourth.

Other finishers for Lindsey Wilson include freshman Matthew Mattingly in 30th place with a time of 30:22. Newcomer Blake Hendricks crossed in 31:27 to take 44th place, while freshman Oscar Bormanis turned in a time of 31:36 for 47th place overall.

Sophomore Ricardo Vergara finished 52nd with a time of 32:06 to round out the Blue Raider finishers.

Kipkemoi won the race by one minute and 10 seconds as the next harrier across the line, Berea's Darryl Patrick, finished in 27:09.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 8:30 a.m. CT on Oct. 2 in the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky.
